Well, God Did It Again!

I’m excited to share some news finally. My new book, Luke 2 The Christmas Story, is available on Amazon and on Walmart online!

It’s been available for almost two weeks, but I didn’t want to announce it until I had a physical copy in my own hands. Yesterday it arrived!
As I sat down and began looking through the pages, the first thing that came to my mind was, “God, You did it again!”
And I had to smile.
After my last book, Unstoppable, I told God, “Please, never let me write another book!”
Well… apparently He had other plans.
It Started With a Gift Basket
This book actually began with my idea to make Christian Christmas gift baskets. I wanted to put a small Christmas devotional in each basket, but I couldn’t find quite what I had in mind.
So I thought, “Well, maybe I’ll just write one.”
I envisioned a little booklet.
Somehow, that little booklet turned into a 6-by-9-inch, 102-page book!
Luke 2 The Christmas Story is a 20-day devotional designed to help us slow down during the busy Christmas season and focus our hearts on Jesus.
The book begins with the main characters and places in the Christmas story. The devotional pages then include Scripture, reflections, and space to record your thoughts, praises, and prayers. The final section offers ideas for keeping Christ at the center of the Christmas season.
What makes this book especially meaningful and unique is its inclusion of quotes from respected Christian writers and theologians, including Oswald Chambers, Augustine of Hippo, and others.
My prayer is simple: that this book will help us spend less time rushing through Christmas and more time thinking about Jesus.
Why I Do This
I also want you to know something important.
Any profit I receive from my books or gift baskets goes right back into helping fund future ministry projects. I’m not doing this to make money. I’m thankful the Lord lets me do what I enjoy while hopefully encouraging others along the way. It’s a ministry, not a book-selling gig!
The book came out much later in the season than I had hoped, but again, I’m reminded that His timing is perfect.

You can use Luke 2 individually, but it’s also wonderful for care groups, Bible study classes, church groups, or even as a Thanksgiving gift for your family.
I’ll show you a few pages so you can get a peek inside. I’ve never seen another Christmas devotional set up quite like this one, but maybe that’s part of the fun of following God. Sometimes He takes our little ideas and turns them into something we never expected.
